Michael was born in Chicago, Illinois, October 15, 1966. He was admitted to the Illinois bar as well as the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois in 1991. Michael graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in 1988 and received his J.D. (with high honors) from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago Kent College of Law in 1991. He also received the Kent Legal Scholar Award.
