Ryan practices in several transactional areas of the law, including business and tax, banking, employee benefits, estate planning, and real estate. He has represented businesses in a myriad of issues, including contract drafting, incorporation, dissolution, and separation agreements. He is able to use his background in tax to structure transactions in the most tax-sensitive manner without losing sight of the business objectives. He has represented banks in issues ranging from assignments for the benefit of creditors to liability for fraudulent transactions, as well as loan documentation, collections, and foreclosures. Ryan has represented clients in several different industries, including banking, developing, and manufacturing.
 

Prior to joining ZRFM, Ryan worked as a consultant in employee benefits law for Ernst & Young, LLP in Chicago. He performed compliance and fiduciary reviews of qualified benefit plans and represented clients in dealing with the Internal Revenue Service.
 

Ryan is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant.
