Kelly concentrates her practice
in municipal and employment law. Her municipal practice includes general
corporate representation and planning and zoning work. She serves as the
municipal attorney for the Villages of Algonquin and Greenwood and serves as
counsel for the planning and zoning boards in the Cities of McHenry and
Genoa. Kelly also represents developers through the municipal development
process such as annexation, zoning, and subdivision of property.
Kelly’s employment practice includes the representation of employers to
ensure compliance of their employment policies and procedures with state and
federal employment laws and regulations. She has conducted numerous training
sessions for both public and private organizations on such matters as
preventing harassment in the workplace, the job interview process,
disciplining and termination of problem employees, and conducting a
performance review. Kelly has represented numerous clients in discrimination
lawsuits and has appeared before the Illinois Department of Human Rights and
the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
